The next day I had Bahn Mi on my mind. It is a Vietnamese baguette which comes with: daikon, carrot, cilantro, chilis, and protein meats. I asked some locals and was told to go to Bahn Mi Huyn Hoa. As soon as I arrived, I saw many people working there preparing the ingredients for the sandwiches so I could tell it was a well run operation. I ordered a sandwich for 35k dong. It only took a few minutes before it was in my hand ready to devour.

Prague is one of my favorite cities in Europe. I like how it easy to walk the streets, the cheap beer, and the architecture especially the Old Town neighborhood. When I arrived to Prague, I booked an apartment in the Old Town area since I wanted to be a close proximity to the shops and restaurants. While this was my second time visiting Prague, I discovered even more new restaurants and bars which I would like to share with you for 24 hours in Prague.
Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Inari Shrine Kyoto on a day trip from Osaka. In case you are wondering how to get from Osaka to Kyoto? It was quite easy to get there. You will have to go to Shin Osaka station and get on the JR train. The total trip was about 40 minutes to get to Kyoto.
This past weekend I got the opportunity to travel from Osaka to Tokyo by bullet train. You can purchase a shinkansen ticket for about 13,000 yen, unreserved, or a bit more for a reserved seat. In this post, you will find out about the Osaka Japanese food I tried as well as the craft beer bars I visited in this trip.
Visiting Jalan Alor and want to try Chinese food in Kuala Lumpur? I recommend going to Jalan Alor. This area is over near Bukit Bintang so you can get off at this subway station if you are traveling from another area.
Why visit Jalan Alor? There are so many street food stalls of local Chinese food and other cuisines such as Malay and Thai. Beer is also served at many of the food stalls. Just walk down the street and enjoy the many street food vendors selling a variety of local cuisines! Here, you will get to try Chinese food in Kuala Lumpur.
I never heard much about Ipoh until I spoke to a Malaysian friend who boasted it had some of the best food in Malaysia. If you ask many Malaysian people, they will tell you there is delicious food in Ipoh. Apparently, it is famous for the bean sprouts as well as the local chicken. The food in Ipoh is influenced by Hakka and Hokkien cuisines. From KL, it is only two hours away. I was fortunate enough to have one of my local friends drive us there but there are buses that go there.
For this week on the blog, I am going to mention one of the day trips I took when in Kuala Lumpur. Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur? Look no further into going to Cameron Highlands! You will escape the heat of KL and hit an oasis when you are in Cameron. The air is fresh and there are fresh strawberries to pick and local tea to try. My trip to Cameron Highlands was absolutely fabulous.
Unfortunately, when I arrived to Split the weather was a bit shot with overcast. However, that did not prevent me from going outside to explore the city. We checked into our Airbnb which was roughly a 10 minute walk to the Old Town area. Much of the architecture in the Old Town is from the Roman Empire so we will be able to see much of the traditional Roman architecture in the city.
