Dubrovnik is an interesting city because of its location to the sea. This served significantly to deter foreign invaders, especially from getting into the Old Town. I am not even joking when you walk into the Old Town it feels as if you are walking into a castle. This is something you have to see once in a lifetime.

Unfortunately, when I arrived to Split the weather was a bit shot with overcast. However, that did not prevent me from going outside to explore the city. We checked into our Airbnb which was roughly a 10 minute walk to the Old Town area. Much of the architecture in the Old Town is from the Roman Empire so we will be able to see much of the traditional Roman architecture in the city.
This is the first stop of the Croatian coastline trip in Zadar. When I looked into visiting Zadar, I didn’t know much about it. I then checked images on google and it looked like a really nice old town on the way to Split. I spoke to my travel companion, Max, and he was up for the adventure.
