Things to do in Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik is an interesting city because of its location to the sea. This served significantly to deter foreign invaders, especially from getting into the Old Town. I am not even joking when you walk into the Old Town it feels as if you are walking into a castle. This is something you have to see once in a lifetime.

Things to do in Split, Croatia

Unfortunately, when I arrived to Split the weather was a bit shot with overcast. However, that did not prevent me from going outside to explore the city. We checked into our Airbnb which was roughly a 10 minute walk to the Old Town area. Much of the architecture in the Old Town is from the Roman Empire so we will be able to see much of the traditional Roman architecture in the city.

When we wake up in the morning, the first thing we want after our shower and before we go to work is a nice warm cup of Joe (American way of saying Coffee). Coffee gives us that kick we need in the morning and for some, throughout the entire day. Many varieties of coffee are served from all around the world and in the states, where Starbucks is the leading cafe, other cafes serve different blends to stand out. The Colombian coffee taste is one of the best in the world.

Colombian Cazuela de Mariscos- A Colombian Dish

Colombia is a great place for exotic fruits and typical Colombian food is absolutely delicious. More importantly, Colombia has amazing soups, albeit few in comparison to other countries such as Mexico; nevertheless Colombia has its fair share of good soups. Enter Colombia seafood soup, it's called Cazuela de Mariscos. A vibrant seafood soup with beautiful flavors and spices all mixed in a pot with coconut milk. Cazuela de Mariscos comes from Colombia's Caribbean and pacific coastal regions cuisines and is a great Colombian dish to try. Now let me be honest with you, each region in the country offers different cuisines, but none can compete with the cuisine that comes from the Caribbean regions. I wish that I can cover all the foods that is offered from these coastal regions, but I want to focus on the seafood soup, because it is so easy to prepare that all you need is the ingredients, good friends and a big appetite. Zagreb Travel Guide

 How to get there from the airport?

Get the Croatian Airlines Shuttle- Only 30 KR and it leaves every 30 minutes. This is a far better option since it gets you to the city center at a relatively low cost.

Patacones- A Delicious Colombian Dish

Colombian cuisine is one of the unknown cuisines to the world that needs some recognition because by all means some of their foods are pretty amazing and tasty. While Colombians mainly deep fry everything under the sun, there are other times when traditional Colombian recipes call for big pots and stews.

Now, I want to share with you something that I have loved since my time living here in Colombia. And yes, this traditional Colombian food that I am about to share with you is a fried item, although in my view a healthy fried item.
